Condensed Cream of __ Soup

Every casserole recipe calls for "Condensed Cream of _____ Soup"
Ive been trying to come up with an alternative for some time. This recipe came from a vegan friend:

3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour (Pamela's Bread mix)
1/2 c. broth (whatever you have on hand)
1/2 c. milk
sauted vegetable of your choice (mushrooms = cream of mushroom soup ect.)
salt and pepper to taste

Melt butter in saucepan, add flour
cook until it smells like buttery popcorn (DO NOT BURN!!)

Add broth and milk to the flour mix.
Add sauted vegetables
boil until it thickens (REALLY THICK)

Now you can make those favorite casseroles!
